DMB's Summer Tour in Camden
by Samantha Bokoski, Cabrini '11

On Sept. 19 and 20 at 7 p.m, the Dave Matthews Band will be making their annual visit to the Susquehanna Bank Center in Camden, N.J.

The Dave Matthews Band has been a Philadelphia concert and tailgating favorite. Appealing to all ages, Dave Matthews comes prepared to play his favorite hits, including “Ants Go Marching,” “Crash Into Me” and “Satellite.”

In August 2008, the Dave Matthews Band suffered a loss of a founding band member and brother, Leroi Moore. Through all the heartache the band decided to continue the tour dates; this will be the first year in Philadelphia without Moore.

The tickets currently available are orchestra section and lawn. Orchestra is selling for $75 and the lawn for $40. Being a frequent Dave Matthews Band concert attendee, I would suggest the lawn. The lawn seats are where all college students seem to migrate and have a great time.

If you do not feel like sitting in traffic or worrying about parking, you are more than welcome to take the River Line which travels throughout New Jersey. If departing from Philadelphia, you can take the RiverLink ferry across the river. The cost is $6 for an adult roundtrip—how reasonable is that? There are also NJ Transit buses that depart from Center City and take you over the bridge.

You can purchase Dave Matthews Band concert tickets at ticketmaster.com or livenation.com.

These concerts were rescheduled from their original dates of Sept. 22 and 23. Tickets previously purchased will be honored at the new dates, but if you can’t make it, you can receive a refund from the ticket office.
