Art/Exhibit Open from 10:00am until 4:00pm Price of Event is $FREE. The Center for Emerging Visual Artists is pleased to present "Fictive Homelands" a Spotlight Exhibition of work by John Karpinski and Serena Perrone. "This time we have to get there," they had decided. Bags surrounded their feet, passports a quick draw from pocket to counter. A proposal to buy a map - the type of map that documents a wasteland between cartoons of historic and favorite sites - killed everything. Because no map existed for their favorite place, at least no map that could be purchased at an airport news stand. They would not dare say it but they had no idea where "there" existed.
