Art/Exhibit
Art fans and history buffs all over the city will be baking a B-line to the Penn Museum with the opening of its latest exhibit! Joining pieces from Penn Museum's famous Mesopotamian Collection with field notes, photographs and over 220 artifacts unearthed at the ancient site of Ur, this incredible exhibit features what Art Director Thomas Hoving calls "the finest, most resplendent and magical works of art in all of America." This exhibit not only examines rare pieces but also looks at the current state of Iraq and the fate of its remaining artifacts. ![]() Click for Directions - courtesy of maps.yahoo.com |
